The lecture introduces the history of Vietnamese immigration and settlement to former Czechoslovakia and Czechia from its early stages to recent years. There will be discussed the formation of the Diaspora that is one of the largest overseas Vietnamese Diasporas in the world, its internal differentiation and establishing of transnational ties, development of its position within the Czech society, its transformation from purely economic to family oriented feature, and growing up of the second generation.
